| Joyce Becker is a nationally renowned quilter, teacher and author whose focus and passion is Landscape Quilts! Join Joyce for this special one day workshop where you will be creating your own mini Landscape collage in nothing flat using Joyce’s original “cut and glue” raw edge appliqué techniques. You will design your landscape to fit inside an 8” x 10” photo mat and frame (or larger if you wish). You may even end up with a couple of completed mini landscapes by the end of class! Principles of design, scale, perspective and value are taught along with stitching and embellishing techniques. Limit 14 Minimum enrollment must be met by May 1 – Sign Up Now! Open to all levels of quilters! NO LANDSCAPE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Joyce was featured in the March 2010 issue of Quilter Magazine. "21st-Century Bull's Eye"

Pattern will be issued at time of registration.
(This book is out of print, therefore, we will purchase the right to copy the pattern for each
student that signs up for this class. CD of the entire book will be given to each student in class.)
The reluctance to piece curved seams gave birth to the raw-edged Bull's Eye block.
This quilt is FUN, FAST and EASY! Circles are cut freehand.
Machine washing the quilt after it is quilted adds texture.
You can choose to use Flannel, Wovens or Regular Cotton prints.
Finished Size 58" X 74"

• Appliqué Embroidery Machine Block instructions in .PDF format located in 8 inch Appliqué Blocks Folder on CD

Rosie’s Calico Cupboard Sewing Club
Free membership for two years if you purchased your sewing or embroidery machine at Rosie’s; $50.00 per year all others. 11 classes are scheduled for 2010. Your membership entitles you to 20% off notions in our Notions Room, except thread, books, and patterns on club dates only. We are continuing to do a Sit n’ Sew every other month. Keep reading for details.
The latest sewing and quilting techniques applicable to all machine types will be demonstrated every other month. Bring something to share that you have finished or a project in progress. If you have a problem that you would like help or advice, bring that too. Do not bring your machine to these sessions. These classes are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on:
January 9, March 13, May 8, July 17, September 11 and November 13, 2010.

Sewing Club Sit n’ Sews are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on
February 20, April 10, June 12, August 14, and October 9, 2009.
You will be bringing your sewing machine and all supplies needed to work on projects of your choice. We will be there to help you with any sewing problems, instruction, or help you may need. Please signup and mark your calendars.

Rosie’s Calico Cupboard Embroidery Club
Free membership for two years for customers who purchased their embroidery or sewing machines at Rosie’s. The club is open to all other embroidery machine owners for $50.00 for all six classes, or $15.00 individually. Sign-up required. Please call the shop at 619-697-5758 or sign up in person. I will be providing you with your supply list by e-mail after registration.
Our 2010 project will be the Postcard Collection from Hoopsisters. Membership entitles you to 20% off embroidery designs, stabilizers, and embroidery thread on club dates only.
Meetings for 2010 will be on the third Friday mornings (this is a change from last year)
each month from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.

entitled to the FREE Classes! (from that point on). We have alot of GREAT machines to choose
from and to add to you Janome Sewing Machine Collection!
