Several pre-wound bobbins

Basic sewing supplies (which includes a seam ripper and pins)
STEP 1
Preparing the Triangle on a Roll® paper.
First cut sections as illustrated below from your Triangles on a Roll®
Cut out carefully on the outside lines.
ONE section will be placed on one 'light' rectangle and one 'print' rectangle and will yield 4 Half Square Triangles.
Following the 'Triangle on a Roll®' instructions, pick out two colors for your first block.....you will need two rectangles of each color.
Layer the two fabrics - right sides together. Sew following arrows.
Rotary cut all solid lines. Tear away paper.
For each block you will lay out one print rectangle with the white,
and a 2nd different rectangle print with the white and two (of the same) prints together.
This will give you four half square triangles of each and you will assemble these half square triangles as illustrated on the block assembly page.
You will also be using 4 white squares in each block.
I suggest that you practice with scraps and once you get the hang of what you are doing, you will be able to assemble the half-squares quickly.
STEP 2
Assembling the blocks.
After sewing and cutting your 'Tirangle-on-a-Roll®
Pick two prints to work with. Set your blocks out as illustrated.
Assemble Block (chain stitching) as illustrated
(You will need 32 blocks for quilt top.)
Sew rows together.
Chain stitching in the above manner, avoids having to pin,
and you will still get accurate points.
Lightly press and set aside.
STEP 3
Half-Star Block Assembly
Assemble 'half-star' (chain stitching) as illustrated.
Sew Rows together (chain stitching in the above manner, avoids
having to pin and you still get accurate points)
Your will need 32 'half-star' bocks for border.
Lightly press and set aside.
STEP 4
Assemblying the 'Half-Star' Border
and adding all borders to quilt top.
Illustration shows the added 2 1/2" 'White' Border.
Assemble 7 'half-star' blocks. Make TWO sets, one for the top border and one for the bottom border.
Assemble 9 'half-star' blocks. Make TWO sets, one for each side.
Add 2 1/2" 'white border' to bottom of each 'half-star' strip, as illustrated.
5 1/2" Finished 'paper pieced' corner stone will be added to both ends of each side strip. (Instructions to follow)
Once corner stones have been added, sew top and bottom border to quilt top, then sew side borders to quilt top.
Add 2 1/2" 'white' border strip to top and bottom, then both sides.
