STEP 5
Assembling the 'Paper Pieced' Corner Stones.
For each of 4 foundation-pieced corner blocks:
1. Trace the full size patterns on the foundation material, transferring all lines and numbers and
leaving a 1" space between foundations. Make 2 of foundation A and ONE each of foundation B,C and D.
Cut each one out 1/2" beyond the broken line.

2. Choose 2 contrasting reproduction prints (one light and one medium) for the flower and a green print
for the leaves.

3. Piece each foundation in numerical order using the following fabrics in these positions.

4. Baste each foundation in the same allowance, halfway between the stitching line and the broken line, to hold the
fabrics in place, if desired.

5. Trim each foundation on the broken line.

6. Stitch a foundation C to a foundation D along their long edges.

7. Lay out 2 foundation A's, one foundation B, and the C/D unit in 2 rows of 2, as illustrated.

Stitch them into rows and join the rows to make a corner block. Make 4.
